Biography Info:

Hi everyone! From Kilowatt Charlie Five, American Made Quality.

You may find a new voice with me from time to time as I am hosting the "Community College Amateur Radio Club" at Jefferson Community College in Watertown, NY for the 4th year running!

For HF we are operating a TS-140S, a Hot Water-101, and a TS-520s. The main antennas are a pair of hand made inverted-V dipoles. One at 40/80 mtrs, and one at 20 mtrs all at 35 ft up with the use of a fiberglass push up pole. The alternate antenna is an Outbacker Perth on a tripod 6 ft up. You might find the Perth mobile at times.

We are also operating on VHF and UHF. Some components of the arsenal include an HTX-202, HTX-242, and a TR-8400. The antennas include a Solarcon discone/stick, a few mag-mounts, and an 11 element beam (once we figure where to put it).

Our location when operating at the college campus is GQ85aw (43° 59' 33" N; 75° 56' 05" W).

I love to QSL. QSL me direct or via http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/Index.cfm . The name of the student operator you contacted will be in the comment section of the card.

Personally I am active in 3 clubs over 2 counties. I participate with RACES and ARES in my area and I am currently building 2 portable communication towers for public demonstration stations and emergency use. Please visit my web page to see how things are progressing. Emails are always welcome.

Happy hamming and hope to catch you on the air!

P.S. The ferret’s name is Rikki.
