An unlikable, irrascable, middle-aged Civil Engineering Tech.
(Draftsman/Designer) with interests in mountaineering, rock climbing,
backcountry skiing, mountain biking, survival hunting/fishing, politics and the
mechanics of world domination. Science and the natural/human histories are also
of considerable interest. While overly educated, I am difficult to make friends
with, but once made, am even harder to get rid of. Beware. As common practice,
I talk too loud, drink too much and drive too fast. I am occasionally armed and
if pushed too hard can be dangerous or bitterly smartmouthed, particularly if
out of my XYL's slapping range (about 12 feet).
Needing a sitdown hobby while recovering from a broken back
(passenger/participant in a rear-end car/truck wreck), and being a nearsighted,
compulsive reader and SWL of many years, I rekindled a high school interest in
Amateur Radio, and have recently somehow passed my Extra exam, so can be
expected to be found almost anywhere on the bands. Hide the truth, the women
and the liquor.
