My name is Chris, I am 30 yrs old and have been in amateur radio for about 8
years now. My first experiences with radio was talking on CB radio back when I
was a kid. I was a scanner enthusiast for a long time and monitored the amateur
bands regularly. Eventually I decided to get my ticket. I like to work 10
meters when its open and I also like to operate SSTV on 2 meters. I hope to
upgrade to my general class soon.
Some of my other interests are competitive shooting. I shoot defensive carbine,
IDPA. I am also a class 3 enthusiast and shooter. I love the outdoors, hiking,
camping, and hunting. I also enjoy the Internet, where I spend a lot of time on
E-bay and some discussion forums I like to frequent. I enjoy travailing, and
have been to quite a few places overseas. I have enjoyed many new and different
experiences in my travels and am grateful that I have had the chance to embrace
other cultures and learn. When I am not on the radio, the computer, or the
firing line I like to spend time with my family and friends. I consider myself
a fairly social person and enjoy meeting new people as well as spending time
with old friends.
