Thanks for looking me up here on QRZ! This shapshot was taken by my partner,
Sean Fleeman N4SCF, on a tower climb at 300ft on a 350ft Rohn 85 tower back in
2004. While we are both fully certified tower climbers (Gravitek/Comtrain/RSI
Safety), we don't do many climbs these days, too many other projects usually
going on. Keep the creditials updated though, many of the sites I work at
require them.
We're located here in the beautiful sunny state of Florida, on the Gulf Coast
about 30 miles Northwest of Tampa. Here's some of what I am usually working on
and my interests.
I operate the APRSfl.net web portal with information about my APRS activities
and free real time level II high resolution doppler radar. On the web at
http://www.aprsfl.net.
Sean and I own and operate the following on air systems on a 350ft commercial
broadcast tower in Port Richey, Florida (I am the chief engineer and site
manager for WLPJ FM, the owner of this site):
* 442.65+ Repeater at 240ft. A PL of 100 is required to access. Open access to
all, local Pasco area repeater (25 mile radius coverage).
* 146.760- Repeater at 200ft, also PL100 (20 mile radius coverage). Directly
connected to echolink as KG4YZY-R (node 4429). This VHF repeater is open access
to all and is linked into the NI4CE West Central Florida Regional system.
* KG4YZY-11 APRS I-GATE and Wide Area APRS digipeater at 200ft (20 mile radius
coverage).
We also host the KJ4BYI D-Star repeater owned by KI4SWY at the site via a
combiner system on the 200ft antenna system. You'll find me frequently on
D-Star - usually as KG4YZY A.
Aside from amateur radio, I spend alot of time with my business... Fleeman
Anderson & Bird Corp http://www.fab-corp.com is a 2.4Ghz/5.8Ghz 802.xx wireless
networking gear and consultant company with clients worldwide.
I also work as a contract broadcast engineer, working at numerous Florida AM,
FM and TV sites with both RF and IT responsibilities.
Hope to hear you on the air!
