I am very active in many facets of Amateur Radio. I was first licensed in 1959
as a General Class licensee. Ham Radio has had a very significant impact upon
my life. Many members of my family also obtained their Ham licences. My wife,
my father and mother (both deceased), my brother and sister-in-law, my two
sons, my uncle and several of his children. I was lucky to obtain the call of
KG7SB as it was my fathers call when he passed away.
I am very proud to be a "ham".
Some of my activites are as follows:
ARRL VE and Ham Radio Class instructor.
EC for Dare County in the state of North Carolina.
Emergency Services Officer for the Outer Banks Repeater Association.
President of the IOOK.
24/7 APRS local digi and IGATE station.
Mobile APRS using D700A.
Portable PacLink AGW/Postoffice (Winlink) station.
Skywarn spotter.
Received Certificate of Appreciation from the National Hurricane Center for
reporting with Echolink during hurricane Isabel.
