Hi, thankyou for visiting my page.

I have been Licensed since 1995. I am mainly active on 2M and 70cms when mobile, however I do sometimes play about with mobile HF.

My main interests in the hobby are:

•  Summits on the Air (SOTA): Currently operate using FT817 & home made inverted V Dipole for 80m, 60m, 40m, 20m, 10m & 7m Sota pole.  Also have 2m/70cms Sota beam and mainly use for 2M SSB & FM.

 

•  Repeaters  - I am the keeper of the GB3DM repeater

• Raynet - I am a member of Glasgow and Clyde Raynet groups, and enjoy helping out at various group events.

 

• Mobile / Portable operation - I do not get much time to operate Radio form home due to having two young kids now, however when time allows I enjoy working portable on HF (such as SOTA), I also sometimes take portable HF setup out on my mountain bike, which I have a trailer for carrying the two kids in, and sometimes operate from Loch lomond area on HF bands.  Looking to do a bit more of this in the near future.  I can also be found on the GB3DM, GB3PA and GB3CS repeaters in the mornings on the way to work.
