Biography Info:

Licensed as KA1JPP in 1981 in 10th grade, age 15. No equipment, minimal activity until college years, when I got active with others.

Today, I have diverse interests in radio, of course, boating & RV when I can (both include RF) and keeping up with the requirements of homeownership & maintenance. I'm also an officer on our town volunteer fire department.

I work as a dispatcher full time, and at the local candy store part time.

Station tower is recycled from other stations all taken down and rebuilt by me, alone, with a gin pole & lots of patience. It is 68 feet of Rohn 25 guyed upper & lower with one eaves bracket, Moseley TA33 tribander on Yaesu 800SA rotator, Diamond X500HN (both on a 23 foot mast) which provides pretty good V/U coverage - all 6 New England States (+/- CT !!). Running IC7000 QTH & Mobile (F-350 6.0 diesel QRO!!) phone & digital & D-Star using ID 800 & IC91AD.

Retired president of Saddleback Repeater Association 147.000 and currently on Port City ARC www.w1wqm.org.

Memorable radio moments? Working JA on an old Uniden 2510 voice using home brew dipole 25 watts 28.350, one of the STS on packet PK88, and field day 40 meter phone Saturday night at 75 to 130 contacts per hour for about 4 hours K1R 5A NH
