I graduated from the Bordentown Military Institute on June 9, 1953 which is the
same day the tornado hit Worcester, MA. I joined the Air Force the same year
and spent 4 years between Biloxi, MS and Presque Isle, ME. Out for a couple of
years when I made the mistake of getting married, but something good must have
happened as I have 4 grown children and 11 grandkids and 2 great grandkids.
Wife and I split almost 20 years ago as of 2008. I retired when I was 64 with
no money, but found a part time job at the Okemo Ski area in Ludlow, VT driving
a bus and as a part time dispatcher. My part time job runs about 60 hours in a
5 day stretch and I love it. This year will be year 19 up there.
Back in the 60's, my brother in law was into CB radio and I got interested but
did not like it that much with all the junk on the air, so around 1990 I took
my novice test and the rest has been a wonderful time (when bands are open). I
am active with the NEWN, Green Mt. Net, RACES, CERT, ARES and a local ham radio
club.
Wish on of my many family members would take up the hobby, but so far nothing
from any of them.
My favorite hobby other than radio is GOLF.
