My name is Liz and I was licensed in Ham Radio in March, 2004, thanks to the
inspiration and support of some incredible Hams like K5VT, WX4ME and N4GN.
I am a mother of two adult children and the oldest of 10 siblings and happy to
be a part of a huge extended family. My profession? I am a physician. My main
interests have been doing short term medical missions and traveling to remote
places in the world where they need medical care. This past year I've had the
privilege and honor to serve as part of the tsunami relief in Thailand. And
after that, I ended up in Houston, Texas for the Katrina hurricane disaster
relief. Although I did mostly medical missions, it was heartwarming to see and
meet some Hams out there. This hobby certainly dovetails and complements well
with my volunteer missions. I am hoping to be a part of DX-peditions and am
continuing to learn more about our service-oriented hobby, especially the
emergency aspect.
73 to all.
