Hello from N4EDX . Mr. Ed I am a new ham, as I have studied for and passed the
Tech and General so far this year, I hope to graduate to Extra before years
end. I have found I like to build antennas, what ever the design, I'm game. I
recently had too much time on my hands and discovered I could make an old set
of rabbit ears resonate on 2 meters ! It worked as I set the the SWR to 1:1 and
hit the local repeater !
I enjoy DX and studying propagation. My favorite is 10 meters. I can be found
monitoring 28.380 usb I have an (old) Kenwood Shack.. TS-940S/SAT for Hf.
TR-7400A and TW-4100a dual bander.. I just picked up a Yaesu FT-100 for 6
meters or 2/70
I have as of 6/19/2008 put up a 100ft. Rohn 25g which has easy duty holding 3
verticals and a horizonal... Imax-2000 w/ N4EDX groundplane
system..10/12/15/17/20 meters (130ft) On outriggers are 17ft Diamond vert for 2
meters/70 cm at about 100ft. A Lakeview 6 meter groundplane and an OmniAngle 6
horizonal.
Running diagonally SE-NW from tree to tree is a homebrewed Carolina Windom for
80/60/40/20/10/2/70cm at about 65ft. Also a vertical A-99 at 115ft up a nearby
tree for 10/12/17
