Started hamming in 1960 as WN9BFB. Quickly became General WA9BFB. Ticket
expired years later and I re-tested and became N9JQZ, followed by Extra testing
and new call AA9AX. Got vanity callsign N9FD several years back.
Moved from Indiana to Florida January 1, 2002, and continue to reside in Ocala.
Both sons are hams: Palmer (N9JRZ) and Scott (N9KZV). Scott remains in Indiana,
but Palmer moved to Ocala in later 2002.
99.9% CW operator. Worked CW traffic nets as youngster. Turned to CW contesting
as AA9AX in 90's. Been off air since moved to Florida, but hope to resume in
near future. Palmer is building his station now (April 2006).
