First licensed in 1970 as WN7OLU in Las Vegas, NV at age 15. Have held/hold
calls: WA7OLU, WB7DGU, WB8QWN, KG6VI, V31VI, and V63KY. ARRL Life Member, QCWA
Life Member, Heard Island DX Association Life Member, Straight Key Century Club
(SKCC #2465), 10-10 Life Member (#26,126).
Currently active on both HF and VHF, actively pursuing operating awards in the
ARRL DXCC, CQ WAZ, and RSGB IOTA programs. Have achieved 5BWAZ, DXCC Honor Roll
(Mixed), 5BWAS, IOTA 600 Islands, and A-1 Operator Club.
Past President (2000) of the Southern California DX Club (SCDXC) and the
Antelope Valley ARC. Current member of the Yavapai ARC. ARRL DXCC QSL Card
Field Checker (Southwestern Division) and I manage the L-segment of the ARRL W6
Incoming QSL Bureau.
I enjoy going out and operating portable from Islands On The Air (IOTA) islands
and have gone/operated on IOTA DXpedition trips to the following islands: Santa
