What is OZ7DAL ?

OZ7DAL is an amateur radio station located in the radio room of FYRSKIB XXI (Lightship 21) OZ7DAL "belongs to" all Danes and is not a club station. The license itself is the "ticket". The station is run entirely on donations from the users and a small profit from "FYRSKIB XXI DIPLOM". The picture QSL is donated by the owner of the lightship, the museum "Fregatten JYLLAND". FYRSKIB XXI is located in a private harbor, which is part of the museum lands surrounding the Frigate JYLLAND, the world's longest wooden ship, launched 1860! Our host www.fregatten-jylland.dk OZ7DAL was first QRV on 25 March 1994. For all amateurs All radio amateurs may use OZ7DAL, but since the equipment is donated by Danes, only OZ, OY, and OX's can borrow the keys (the radio room has to be locked, of course). When a Danish amateur is manning the radio room, all amateurs who visit the museum, are very welcome to become QRV and perhaps enjoy a cup of "lightship-coffee" and a chat. So far we have had visitors from almost all European countries, USA, VE, and even HK and VK.
