------------------------
To celebrate the tercentenary, Uppsala radio club (SK5DB) activates a special
call sign, SC5L, and a diploma for the occasion, DIPLOMA LINNAEUS. (The diploma
is printed on slight structured light yellow thick paper. Very nice!) Look at a
sample at http://www.sk5db.se/filer/DiplomaLinnaeus_sample.pdf
Contacts with SC5L (5 points) and other Swedish call signs (1-3 points
depending on first two letters in call sign) in the period of 28 January 2007
to 26 June 2007 is valid for the diploma. Unique contacts on band, mode and
month gives you points.
The diploma has three levels: Student (at least one contact with SC5L and
minimum 23 points, easy), Master (min. 3 valid QSOs with SC5L and at least 100
points, harder) and Professor (min. 7 valid QSOs with SC5L and at least 300
points, very, very hard). We hope you apply for the diploma!
QSL will be sent automatically for unique first contacts (band/mode). QSL is
not needed for the diploma, but if you want to send a QSL to us, use the
bureau. We only want QSL for your first contact with SC5L. If you like our
activation and have learned something about Uppsala and Carl Linnaeus, please
