I was born in 1963 and have been a ham since 1978. I work as a civil litigation
lawyer for the Province of New Brunswick. I've only ever operated HF and about
95 percent of the time I'm on CW. My station is located on a city lot about 175
feet by 70 feet. Needless to say, I've had rfi issues from time to time. I've
found that using a 500 watt amp allows me to operate anywhere, anytime without
bothering my neighbors. Here's my present station lineup:
Yaesu FT-1000MP, Yaesu FL-7000 Solid State Amp (500 - 600 watts), Hy-gain
TH6DXX at 50 feet (10, 15 and 20), Cushcraft A3WS at 60 feet (12, 18 and 30),
Alpha Delta Twin Slopers (40, 80 and 160) and a very single wavelength beverage
for low band receiving.
