Married to Jessica (Taiwanese born) and have 2 daughters, oldest aged 9 and the
youngest 4. I am 40 and an Australian CUSTOMS Officer based at Waterfront
Operations Brisbane. I was born in Dane End (nr Ware), Hertfordshire, England
and moved to Australia in 1973.
My amateur interests are DXing & Contesting. Favourite bands are the higher HF
bands. I was first licenced in Feb 2004 (VK4HLP).

I only run 'barefoot', no amp. Logging software from N3FJP and N1MM. Array
Solutions Powermasters; Dunestar 600 Automatic Bandpass Filters; Heil ProSet
Plus Headsets and Heil Traveler Dual Side Headset, Top Ten DX Doubler and
Automatic Band Decoders.
As of 01 Oct 2007 I am no longer the OUTWARDS VK4 QSL Manager. The role is
nowthat of the WIA National Outwards QSL Bureau located at the Westlakes
Amateur Radio Club. All cards now to be sent to PO Box 3073, Teralba, NSW 2284.
For my contacts -- Pls QSL to the VK4 Bureau or direct to the address above. No
cash, IRC's or green stamps required. I send QSL cards to all HF contacts
(including contest QSO's.) Cards are sent via GlobalQSL. The majority of my
cards will be sent to your bureau unless I need your card for DXCC urgently or
you have asked me to send direct. I also EQSL but no LOTW (as yet).
