My name is Rod and I am 70 years old (in 2007). I have had this call (W0BCA)
since 1948 when I was 11 years old. There were two 20 year gaps in activity
when I was in school, the Army, and raising a family. Since returning in August
2005 I have been having a really good time working mostly DX on CW, RTTY, and
SSB.
My current rigs include ICOM IC-756 PRO III, IC-746 PRO and a Kenwood TL-922
amplifier. I mostly use a Force-12 C4/SXL antenna on a crank-up mast that goes
to about 59 feet (18.7 meters). I also have a Butternut HF9V mounted on the
roof.
I enjoy paper QSL cards and will reply 100 percent. I also put my logs onto
LOTW but I do not tend to use e-qsl at all.
I wish for peace for you, your loved ones, and all of the children who die in
war.
