-First licensed in 1952 as WN9QQN, Chicago suburban area. General class the
same year.
-long Hiatius for College, Family and Navy Flight program Reactivated Hamming
in 1963,- W9QQN earned DXCC in 1964
-QSY to the UK operating as G5ABA in 1966-Achieved DXCC
-Formed the Northern Illinois DX Association(NIDXA) with the support of
W9BZW(SK), and Bob W9ARV; Along with many others
-Honor Roll DX in 1969 -5BDXCC #310 -1972 -Extra Class call W9QN {secondary}
-QSY to Florida in 1971- new call WB4YJE(interim)then W4QQN 1972; -Vanity
call-1997- W4QN - DX and Contesting are my major interests.
-Retired from Motorola 1996 -Acquired Cubex Antenna Co 1997; Moved it to
Florida, great fun, Sold Cubex 2006, and it has been acquired by Tennadyne
Antennas.
