Welcome all. First licensed in 1970 as WA4FVX. From the time I
was of a very young age, I had a built in 'Elmer', my Dad, Clyde
Williams Sr. (SK) Dad was first licensed back in 1947 and held
two station call signs, W4YQY and W4BJF. In the late 70's at
renewal time, he lost the W4YQY due to rule changes and at that
time was unable to get it back. About 2 years ago I noticed that
W4YQY was open so I applied and received it to get it back in
the family. I am currently licensed as an Extra Class, member of
ARRL, ARRL VEC/VE and a member of the Rockingham County Amateur
Radio Club. Enjoy building antennas, building repeaters, working
DX, and also computers. Current HF rigs consist of an Icom
706MkIIG and an Icom IC-701. Living in a Condo with strong
antenna restrictions that simply state NO ANTENNAS, I am forced
to do what a Ham must do. I use the Condo's gutter system as a
'long wire' (approx 700') with an MFJ Tuner!! Just hard to
understand why they say NO ANTENNAS and then they furnish me
with one...hi hi Also have a variety of VHF and UHF rigs for
local Repeater work. Self employed in the computer design/repair
business and maintain several websites. Check back soon as I
hope to have our new Club Web Page listed on here soon! 73s
