Ended up in Texas in 1996, after a 6 year stint in the NAVY. I was on my first
cruise to the Persian Gulf when my parents sent me a letter to tell me they
were moving to Texas.. and they even gave me the new address... so here I am.
In the NAVY, I was an Aviation Electronics Technician stationed for 4 years in
Japan with the VA-115 Eagles. The squardon's aircraft were Grumman A-6E
Intruders (We delivered ordinance Any Time, Any Place, Any Weather). Eagles
F***in' Rule!
These days, I am an avionics technician during the day working on some
"special" Gulfstream G-II's, but on my off time, I enjoy spending
time with my wife, 2 dogs and 3 cats. My hobbies include Amatuer Radio, SWL,
playing guitar, building low wattage (under 20 watts) vacuum tube guitar
amplifiers, and playing with my '91 Nissan 240SX fastback running on E85.
I got my Tech license in 2000, my General and vanity call in 2007.
At the QTH, I am running a Icom IC-718 fed with outboard audio gear with a
10/17/20/40/80 M fan dipole around 25'AGL and a 10M Vertical. In the Mobile I
run on 10M with a 102" whip, as well as an Icom IC-208H and a Larson Dual
Band antenna.
I run a 10 Meter propagation Beacon on 28.2675, The Output is 2.75 watts. If
you hear it, please QSL.
I QSL paper for paper and don't have much interest in eQSL.
I hope to hear you on bands!
EFR!
