Biography Info:

http://www.freewebs.com/wa4aw

I was first licensed in the early 60s as WN2OUK at age 12. Grew up in Long Beach, LI, NY , where I was active with the local radio club and ARES/RACES group. I hold an Extra Class license and FCC First Class Radiotelephone license (now called a GROL).

My activities with the ARRL Field Organization in the Southern Florida Section include serving as the Assistant Section Manager, Affiliated Club Coordinator and District Emergency Coordinator. Previously, I was the Section Technical Coordinator and Section Emergency Coordinator and served on the ARRL National Emergency Response Planning Committee. I am also an Assistant Director in the Southeastern Division and a former EC and RO for Lee and Palm Beach counties and am certified in all three levels of ARRL ARECC.

I am a life member of the ARRL, QCWA and AWA and a Senior Grade member of the Radio Club of America and the ARRL A-1 Operator Club. Past President of the Fort Myers and West Palm Beach ARC and current member of the Palms West ARC, North Florida ARS, Wiregrass ARC and life member of the West Palm Beach ARC. I am the Secretary Treasurer of our local Palm Beach Chapter of QCWA and an ARRL CE-VE.

Retired after 25 years as the communications supervisor in South Florida for the Florida Division of Forestry. My XYL, Myra, K3PGH and I live in Royal Palm Beach, FL and Dothan, AL. My other interests include restoring antique ham radios, traveling to hamfests, antique cars and radio-TV history. Myra & I also volunteer at the old radio museum in Yesteryear Village on the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.

Look for you on the air or at a hamfest.

Very 73,

Jeff, WA4AW
