First call 1964 KZ5JX in Panama Canal Zone. US Army STRATCOM (Corozal,CZ)
xmiter site.(1964-1966). I, with two Army buddies (Jim -WA9CWC, Gene-N4HFW),
motorcycled on Yamaha 305cc motorbikes from Panama to San Antonio, TX, in
August 1966, I enjoy motorcycles today, 1979 Honda CX500. I use 2M motorcycle
mobile and enjoy various charity rides around town. I enjoy experimenting
electronics and antennas. Computer programming (Macintosh Pro OS X) Future
Basic and Windows Visual Basic. I also like cooking and baking, gardening,
grape wine making. Active member of Kanawha Amateur Radio Club http://w8gk.org/
and a supporting member of the Museum of Radio & Technology ,Inc.,
Huntington,WV http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~postr/MRT I am currently working on a
homebrew QRP transceiver rig for portable use. I like to work APRS, PSK31 and
RTTY. I also enjoy CW and the "Hammer Down Gang" on 3.8620 MHz
usually 8:30am. I sometimes check in on the WV Traffic Net.(3.811 MHz 6pm &
11:45am EST). My Davis Pro2 WX data is supplied to W8GK APRS station.

(Assistant Emergency Coordinator). http://www.qsl.net/kareswv Member of Skywarn
service of NWS http://www.skywarn.org and use mobile HF & VHF frequently. Rigs
included in picture are Kenwood TS-940S, Yaesu FT-470, Grundig G5W. Apple Mac
Pro computer with homebrew interface. IC 706 in truck with SGC 230 coupler and
antenna. Antennas: homebrew 4 el. 2M quad, HyGain 20,15,10M band quad, G5RV, 80
Loop Sky Wire at ~55 ft. with SGC 231 coupler, 5 el. Yagi beam for the APRS
link.
