I grew up in South Bend, Indiana about 1 mile from The University of Notre Dame. I was first licensed in December, 1969 as WN9DLC and did most of my Novice work with a Globe Scout 680A and a National NC173 receiver. I have typically been very active over the years except for an 8 year QRT from about 1996 till December of 2003. I’m active on HF and 2 meters again and having a blast.
At the present time I operate mostly CW with the 'Main Station', the 'Vintage Station', and the 'QRP Station'. I also operate some PSK31 and some SSB. In August '05 I installed a new tower with a 5 band 2 element Quad so I can now operate 80-40-30-20-17-15-12-10 meters.

Astronomy : I have a Celestron Nexstar 8i computer controlled telescope. My telescope setup is fairly portable and I enjoy taking it to truly dark sites.

Motorcycle : We have a Yamaha Venture touring motorcycle that the XYL and I enjoy riding and taking trips on. On the bike, getting there is half of the fun!
