I've been an operator since 1974, but have only been HF active for a few years. I found out I love to chase DX and work special event stations. Bottom of the cycle and 100watts max makes it a fun challenge. I'm really looking forward to the new solar cycle. I've got a few years under my belt and I'm ready---lets rock!!!

My dad and I got into the hobby togeather--taking a class on saturday mornings way back when. He has since become silent key but I know he still smiles (along with me) with each new country I work. This is a hobby and I want to always keep it that way. I love making contacts where I have to pull out the world atlas---there have been several times where I have never heard of such a place (ie Estonia, Moldova and all you tiny little islands out there). Who says you can't teach an ol dog new tricks.
