Subject: Mod for Cherokee AH-100

The Cherokee AH-100 is a Handheld AM/SSB CB. It will cover 10 meters as
well. The mod is:

Remove the back cover from the radio.
Locate the PC board that the PTT is mounted to. 
Locate the 3 solder lands that just end. Solder a bridge between all 3
solder pads.
Reassemble the radio.

Now when you turn it on, press the channel 9 button and hold for 2
seconds. (the display will remain blank until released) You will now
have  from 25.165 - 29.655 in 10 bands! Band E is the cb channels and
the 'E' is not displayed. 

NOTE: if the unit has been powered before the MOD, you must reset the
processor, Just place a jumper over the Battery contacts for 24 hours
while the unit is on
