QRZ's Practice Amateur Radio Exams
This testing system serves as a training aid to
help amateurs and prospective amateurs in passing the
FCC exams neccessary to obtain US amateur radio licenses.
If you can consistently pass the exams given here, you
should almost certainly pass an actual VEC administered
exam. Please feel free to visit this site as often as you like
as you continue to study to build your knowledge and skills.
Good luck on your exam!
All of the current test versions from the NCVEC website are presented.
These include:
- Technician Class Element 2 Valid 7/01/06 thru 6/30/10
- General Class Element 3 Valid 7/01/07 thru 6/30/11
- Extra Class Element 4 Effective 7/01/08 thru 6/30/12
QRZ Practice Test 2.0
QRZ is pleased to announce that our Version 2.0 Practice Tests are now
available for general use by all license classes. These new tests give
you more feedback, plus, once loaded they will run without a network connection.
Practice Tests 2.0 Large Print Edition
We are now making available a special edition of the new practice tests
that has scalable dimensions and fonts. This version will size to fit whatever
dimension available on your screen from very small to very large.
These tests use the complete and current official
VEC approved question pools and answers. Each test taken
is composed of a unique combination of questions that are
selected at random in accordance with the official guidelines
set forth for each element and each subelement.
If you are interested in seeing how QRZ chooses the questions for each test,
please check out this page that explains
the process.
Note that this is not an officially administered test and therefore
no CSCE or test credits can be awarded as a result of your
performance here.
