Misc Ham Items - HTs, Wattmeters, Ant Tuner, Power Supplies, Mics, Filters, & others |
Sat May 3 04:32:31 2008 |
For Sale:
I know this is a long list; I have tried to group similar items together.
Kenwood TH-41 AT HT for 440 MHz.
This compact HT has thumbwheel switches to select the operating
frequency. The HT has about 1.5 watts output, and a decent
receiver. It has a touchtone pad on it, and is very simple to
operate. You likely will not need to read to manual to use this
one! It includes a good battery (new insert a couple months ago),
charger, rubber duck, carrying strap, and paper work for $60.
Yaesu FT-26, 2 meter HT
This HT has a nice LCD display, with memories, scan, and
subaudible tones. Basically, all the things one would expect in
an HT. This unit comes with the desk charger, and not a wall
charger. The battery seems to hold a charge OK, but seems
somewhat weak, so it may need an "insert" soon. It works
100%, and looks very nice.
Rubber duck and paper work included for $75.
Alinco DJ-191, 2 meter HT
This unit has about everything except the kitchen sink in it. It
has a very large, readable LCD display that I can read without
my glasses! It has about 7 watts max output, and the receiver
is great. It covers from 136 to 174 MHz, so it covers all of the
weather and VHF public service frequencies. Of course it has
memories and all sorts of scan features. Touchtones (DTMF)
and PL (subaudible) tones are included.
This unit works 100% and looks extremely nice. It includes
a good battery pack, belt clip, rubber duck, and paper work
for $100.
Alinco DJ-G5 dual band 2 meter and 440 MHz HT
I said earlier that the Alinco DJ-191 2 meter HT has about
everything except the kitchen sink in it. I think they must have
included the kitchen sink in this one! It has all of the features
of the DJ-191 above, but also works on the 440 MHz band.
It will even cross band repeat, if you talk to it right. But I am
certain you will need to read the manual on this one! It has
three power levels of about 6, 3.5 and 1 watts.
The receiver covers from 108 to 174 MHz, and then from 420
to 480 MHz. This means it covers the AM aircraft band, as
well as the VHF public service, weather frequencies, and UHF
public service. I can not think of anything a ham would want it
to do that it will not do.
This particular unit works fine, and looks extremely nice. It
includes a good battery, belt clip, rubber duck antenna, and
paper work for $250.
Speaker microphone for many different HTs
I think this is actually an Icom HM-9, but I can not find that
written on it any place. It has the 2.5 mm and 3.5mm connector
pins and will work on most Icom HTs including IC-02, 03, 04,
2/3/4SA/T, 24AT, P2/3/4, T21, T41, W21, 2GXA/T,and others.
It will also work on Radio Shack HTs like the HTX-202,
HTX-404, HTX-420, HTX-400, etc., plus many Alinco and
Yaesu HTs. $18
Radio Shack 19-300 Battery pack for HT-202 and HTX-404
This is a good battery pack for the Realistic HTs. It also fits
some of the Icom HTs such as the IC-2 AT, IC-02 AT,
IC-4 AT, etc.
This is the 7.2 volt, 600 ma hour NiCad pack.
It works fine and looks great. $23
HF wattmeter / SWR Bridges:
Diamond SX-100 Wattmeter / SWR Bridge
This meter has scales of 30 W, 300 W, and 3000 W.
It is for use from 1.6 thru 60 MHz, so is ideal for some
of the modern HF rigs that include 6 meters on them.
It has a fairly large meter that can be backlit if 12 V DC is
applied. It will also read either peak or average power,
and even includes an on-off switch.
This particular meter works fine, and looks like new.
Not a scratch on it. It is in its original plastic in the
original box, with paper work for $90
Micronta 21-520 A, HF wattmeter with two large meters
This is an HF wattmeter that covers from 3 to 30 MHz, with
full scale power readings of 10, 100, and 1000 watts.
Two LARGE meters -- one reads forward power and one
reads reflected power -- both at the same time. This gives
the same info as some of the cross needle meters, but many
people find it is easier to read.
It has a remote sensor, with about 3 feet of cable to connect
to the meter itself.
This particular meter works fine, and looks like new. It is
still in its original box. $55
MFJ 902 "Travel Tuner"
This HF tuner is small and compact, and is made to be
used with some of the new, small compact rigs, such as
the Icom 706, Yaesu FT-100, Kenwood TS-50, etc.,
although it will work fine with a larger fixed station rig.
It is designed for 80 thru 10 meter operation, and will
handle 150 watts.
It has provisions to bypass the tuner, if you so desire.
This particular unit works fine, and looks very close to new.
It is in its original box, with paper work. $65
Radio Works T-6 VHF Isolator
This unit is designed for VHF frequencies, and provides
isolation to keep RF where it belongs, and out of your
shack. The purpose of this device is to "decouple" the
feedline from all of the things in your shack, so that the
RF would not get in places it did not beyond. To put it
another way, this device might help keep RF out of your
computer, as an example.
This one is out of the package, but has never been on
the air. $30 SOLD
Heavy duty power supply
Pyramid PS-35
This supply is good for 32 Amps Constant or 35 Amps Surge.
The output voltage is adjustable over a 12 to 15 volt range
with a multi turn pot. It has crowbar over voltage protection,
short circuit & thermal protection and features a pair of nice
large edgewise meters to measure output voltage and output
current. There is an internal fan. This is a very healthy, heavy
duty supply!
This particular unit works 100% and looks very close to new.
$135
Heath IP-27 DC "lab type" power supply
This supply is capable of up to 50 V DC at up to 1 1/2
amps of current. It is set up in 5 volt ranges (0 to 5 V,
5 to 10 V, etc), with a bit of overlap on the ranges, and
then has a pot to set the fine voltage. Heath used a neat
design, where the power transformer has many taps,
and is switched as one changes ranges, keeping heat
and power dissipation to a minimum. The current
limit has 4 ranges (50, 150, 500 ma, and 1.5 amps),
with a pot to set the fine adjustment. It also has a very
large (approx 5 inch) meter to read the voltage and current.
This one works great, and looks fine also. It has had the
Heath recommended updates done to it.
With paper work for $85.
Expanded Scale AC Voltmeter
This is an AC Voltmeter with an expanded scale. It reads
from 0 to 150 volts AC, but the scale is expanded so that
one can read in the 120 V area easier. The middle of the
scale is about 95 volts. It is ideal to have in line constantly,
to check your line voltage. This is a Weston Model 476,
and is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter, with 3 mounting holes.
Of course it works fine, and looks fine also. $18
Keithley 169 Lab Quality Digital Multi Meter
This is a bench type DMM, with good accuracy.
3 1/2 digit LCD display
Voltage ranges are protected to 1400 volts
Resistance ranges are protected to 300 V RMS
..... (This means you can accidentally apply up to 300 V
..... RMS when measuring resistance, and the meter
..... will survive.)
Voltage ranges from 200 mv to 1000 V
Current ranges from 100 microamps to 2 amps
Resistance ranges from 200 ohms to 20 Meg
It is in very nice condition, both electrically and cosmetically.
Manual included for $80.
Variac
General Radio Model W5MT3
This variac is designed for 115 V AC lines, and will vary
the line voltage from zero to about 120 percent of the line
voltage. It is very useful for slowly bring the line voltage
up on older rigs.
The General Radio W5MT3 is in a very nice case, with a
3 wire cord, and 3 wire receptical. Of course it has General
Radio quality. This one is rated at 5 amps.
In checking prices of used units on the internet, they seem
to go for anywhere from $170 to $400. This one works fine,
and is in excellent cosmetic condition as well. You can have
it for $125.
Microphones:
Regular hand microphone
Electret Condenser microphone
Generic Black mic, with gray PTT bar. Requires polarizing
voltage. $25
Microphone for Heath "Lunchbox" Series
This is the ORIGINAL microphone for the Twoer, Sixer,
and others of the "Lunch Box" series.
It is the original Turner microphone, with the cotton covered
cord, and single button microphone connector.
It is in extremely nice shape. No problems with the cord or
connector, and the mic itself even has a bit of the original
"sheen" left on it. It works fine. $33
Icom HM-8 hand mic with Touch Tone (DTMF) Pad
This mic is being sold for parts only. The dynamic element
in it is open. A part of the plastic holding the PTT button
does not seem quite right, but the actual touch tone pad
and electronics is OK. So if you have an HM-8 with bad
electronics or actual touch tone pad, this unit will get you
up and going again. Actually, the unitprobably can be
repaired and used. $12
Touch tone (DTMF) microphones for sale:
Kenwood MC-45 DM, DTMF mic plus other functions
In addition to the touch tone pad and PTT switch, this mic
has up-down switches, plus a row of four switches above
the touch tone pad. They are used for "Call Button", VFO
key, Memory recall key, and the fourth one is programmable.
The back has a lock switch. It has an RJ-45 connector (like
a computer LAN).
This particular mic works fine, and looks fine also. It is still
in its original box, with paper work for only $60.
CES 600 L, Universal DTMF microphone
This has a normal touch tone pad on the front, along with
a low impedance microphone. This one has the 8 pin
modular plug (like a computer LAN) on it. This mic has
not been used, so it is in really great condition.
Paper work included for $40.
Drake 1525 EM Touchtone Microphone
This is the mic that was used to add a touchtone pad to
a lot of rigs in the 70s and 80s. Normal hand mic from
the front, but has a touchtone pad on the back. Four
pin mic plug. This particular unit has been used, but is
in good shape and includes paper work. $ 40
KDK Model TM-2
With touch tone pad and up-down switches. It presently
has a 6 pin connector for the KDK 2030, but that can
be changed. Nice condition. $45
CES "Micropad" touch tone mic
No model number on it, but it has a 12 digit pad on the
back. Low Z mic element with round 8 pin connector
wired for Kenwood. $40
Data Signal "Data-Coder 5" touch tone mic
This mic has a 12 digit touchtone pad on it, plus a
normal low impedance microphone. With 4 pin plug.
Like new. $40
HT speaker microphones:
Speaker microphone for many different HTs
I think this is actually an Icom HM-9, but I can not find that
written on it any place. It has the 2.5 mm and 3.5mm connector
pins and will work on most Icom HTs including IC-02, 03, 04,
2/3/4SA/T, 24AT, P2/3/4, T21, T41, W21, 2GXA/T,and others.
It will also work on Radio Shack HTs like the HTX-202,
HTX-404, HTX-420, HTX-400, etc., plus many Alinco and
Yaesu HTs. $18
Kenwood SMC-24 speaker microphone
Fits Kenwood TR-2400 HTs. $18
Kenwood MJ-68 microphone connector adapter
Converts a round 6 pin Kenwood mic connector, so it can
be plugged into a Kenwood rig with the round 8 pin
connector. Like new. $20
Vibroplex "Blue Racer Iambic" CW Paddle
The Brass Racer Iambic is unique in that there are no
springs in the design. Tension on the paddle is infinitely
adjustable through the use of magnets. The Brass Racer
Iambic is a convenient, keyer paddle unit crafted from
solid brass with a lacquer coated brushed finish
mounted on a hardwood base.
This one works great, is in very nice condition, and
includes cord and paper work for $110.
Cable for paddles
This cable is about 3 feet long, and has 1/4 inch stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. It looks
great. $8
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $8
Cable for straight key
Similar to cable for paddles, but has a mono 1/4 inch
phone plug on it, as is used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $5
Kantronics Cable
This cable is made to plug in to the 9 pin DB-9 connector
that is on the back of many of Kantronics TNCs and other digital
units (KAM, KPC-3, and others), and is made to interface it to
the radio.
It has a DB-9 connector on one end, and is in extremely good condition.
The connectors are labled "1" and "2", with "1" having a red 3.5
mm plug, a white 3.5 mm plug, and a black 2.5 mm plug. The "2"
is the same as "1" except it does not have the white 3.5 mm plug.
It is $20
Phone patches or digital interfaces:
Although designed to be used as a phone patch, to
connect your rig on both transmit and receive to a
telephone line, these can also be used to interface your
rig to a sound card. There is an internal audio
transformer inside, just like on some of the "interface
boxes" being sold today.
Johnson Viking Phone Patch - Model 250-46
This phone patch is made to be mounted vertically
beside the rig. It is about 6 inches high, 2 inches
wide and 3 inches deep. It is possible that the face
plate can be removed, and it made to be mounted
horizontally, but I have not done that. The reason I
say this is that there are feet on the bottom, and on
the left side. Maybe the feet on the left side are to
protect the rig. In any case, it has 3 pots on the
front for Null, Receive Volume, and transmit gain,
along with a switch for phone patch or microphone.
On the back is a terminal strip for speaker and
phone line. The microphone input has the 2 pin
Amphenol connector like used by Johnson, Heath,
Hallicrafters, and many others in that era.
It works fine and looks OK also. $30
Low Pass TVI filters:
Low Pass for your transmitter
Add one of these filters to your transmitter to help prevent
TVI or RFI.
All filters have an SO-239 connector for input and output,
and are designed for 52 ohm systems.
B & W model 425 (Also know as FL-10/1500) low pass filter
B & W TVI filter, 50 ohm. It cuts off just above 10 meters,
and will handle 1500 Watts. SO-239 connector on each end.
Maximum attenuation is at 52 MHz, with at least 70 db across
the band.
This is an older model that seems much heavier duty. It weighs
almost twice as much as the newer model, and looks like it
would take more power. It likely was made in the days that
plate modulated AM was the rule. Paper work included. $35
Drake TV-3300-LP Low Pass Filter
This is a modern low pass filter that has been optimized to
have more attenuation in the 40 MHz region, where many
TVs have their IF. According to the manual it is good for
1000 Watts "average", which would be about 2000 watts
PEP, and has over 80 db attenuation at 41 MHz. SO-239
connectors on each end. This one looks close to new, and
also has the single page "manual" with it. $ 40
Johnson Nye Viking 250-20 Low Pass Filter
This is a 52 ohm cylindrical low pass filter with a cut off
frequency of 45 MHz and 75 db of attenuation.
It is rated to take 1000 Watts of AM, or 5000 Watts
PEP SSB. $35
Alinco ELP-60 D LX low pass filter
For 50 ohm systems, with up to 500 watts of power.
This one has an SO-239 on one end, and about a 2 foot
length of coax and PL-259 on the other end. $30
BNC to PL-259 antenna adapter
For use with the Realistic HTX-202 and HTX-404 HTs and also
Alinco DJ-191 and DJ-G5 HTs above, or any other HT with BNC
connector. It will convert the BNC connector on the HT, so that you
can use a normal antenna with a PL-259 connector. Like new. $5
Antenna adapter for Kenwood TH-21 / 31 / 41 HTs
This adapts the antenna connector found on these HTs to a
standard BNC connector. $4
Avanti / Antenna Specialists "On Glass" antennas
These antennas were made by Avanti, and then later by
Antenna Specialists, to mount on a windshield, or other
glass. They do not require a ground plane, as they are
1/2 wave antennas, rated to have 3 db gain. They are
ideal for places where a ground plane is not available,
such as a boat or motor home, in addition to cars. A
special tuning box is included to match to your particular
situation.
Antenna for 2 meters
This one is in extremely nice condition, with a new packet
of the special mounting glue that is furnished by Antenna
Specialists. $28
Avanti Antenna for 440 MHz
Still in its original tube, unopened. $33
Rubber Duck and telescoping antennas for your HT.
All are for 2 meters, are in good condition, and are $10
each, unless stated otherwise.
5/16 inch threaded, like used by Motorola and others - $10 each
Regular - 5.7 inches long
Stubby - 4 inches long
Type F connector - 6.5 inches long - $10
PL-259 connector - 6.5 inches long - $10
HyGain 275, still in original packaging
PL-259 connector - Stubby - 4.6 inches long - $10
Centurion, still in original package
Special for Kenwood TH-21 HT threaded connector
Aftermarket stubby, 3.5 inches long - $10
Kenwood RA-6 regular, 6.6 inches long - $10
BNC stubby for 440 MHz - 3 inches long - $10
Telescoping quarter wave antenna
This antenna extends to a full 19 inches, but telescopes down
to about 4 inches. It has about 6 db gain over the typical rubber
duck antenna, and has a BNC connector. $12
Quarter wave telescoping antenna
As above, but with PL-259 connector. $12
Quarter wave telescoping antenna
As above, but with a right angle bend in it, and PL-259
connector. $15
HT speaker microphones:
Kenwood SMC-24 speaker microphone
Fits Kenwood TR-2400 HTs. $18
Speaker microphone for Alinco HTs above, plus many
others. I thought it was actually an Icom HM-9, but I can not
find that written on it any place. I do know that it works fine
with the Alinco HTs. It looks OK also. $18
Belt clip for TR-2400 HT, complete with hardware - $8
Battery charge cable for Kenwood TR-2400 HT
This is an adapter that permits one to charge the battery of the
Kenwood TR-2400, 2 meter HT, outside of the HT itself. Usually,
one must have the battery inside the HT, but this lets you charge
a second battery outside of the HT. The original charger is used.
It is in good shape, and works fine. $3
Wrist strap - I think it fits most Kenwood (and maybe other)
HTs - $4
Santec HT Accessories For Sale:
Leather Case for Santec HT
This is a real Bianchi Leather case -- not a vinyl case.
It fits most of the Santec HTs, such as the HT-1200,
ST-142, ST-144, ST-440, etc. The real leather case
includes a built in belt clip, plus a removable leather
shoulder strap.
The case itself is in very nice shape. The leather
shoulder strap has not been used. $25
Santec ST-142/144 "Service Pack"
This is similar to a service manual, but Santec calls it a
service pack. It has schematics, circuit explanations,
voltages, etc. $18
Original Kenwood Operating Manuals For Sale:
All are original operating manuals in very nice, close to new
condition, for Kenwood radios, unless stated otherwise.
Operating manual for TW-4000 dual bander $15

Notice: Due to a uniquely high number of swapmeet listings, I
have been asked by QRZ to provide the following notification:
My swapmeet sales on QRZ are not-for-profit. As a service to
my friends and acquaintances, I help them and/or their survivors
dispose of equipment that is no longer needed. Because I
realize the difficulty relatives have disposing of equipment
after one becomes a silent key, I have decided to "thin the
herd" of much of my own 40+ year accumulation of equipment.
This is not a business venture for me, and I am not in the
amateur radio business.

damaged screwdriver antenna |
Fri May 2 14:00:50 2008 |
I have a damaged screw driver antenna that the shaft broke loose inside of. The motor turns but the coil dosen't move.
If anyone wants it for parts or to possibly repair it, I would take $75.00 plus 20 to ship it.
It can do 6 through 80 with the appropriate whip.
It weighs approx 9 lbs and is 3 inches in diameter.
