I have an older (circa 1982) Icom IC-45A 440MHz FM mobile for sale. Radio is in pretty clean shape considering it's age, no rust or serious wear. Not used in a smoking environment either. Inside of rig is immaculate as well, no modifications or "goodwrench" jobs. Radio does transmit with 9.8 watts out and good TX audio, on frequency. RX is slightly off on the upper end of the band, about 5KC, so it may need an alignment. Rig does NOT have a tone board, but does have a switch for an optional encoder, and this one would be a snap to add in a Comspec board. Covers the 440-450 band, 5 memory channels, dual VFO's, and scan capabilities. Antenna connector is an N type not SO-239.
It comes with the original Icom DTMF mike, original 8 foot power cord, original manual, schematic and warranty card. No mounting bracket though. All the controls work, a little scratchiness in the volume pot but not bad, all LED segments and lights work. I'd give the cosmetics a solid 8.5 out of 10.
I am asking 50 dollars shipped CONUS via Priority Mail, well packed with delivery confirmation. This is a good piece of ham radio history that would make a great starter rig for 440, or a good one for your collection of vintage ham gear. Pics available. Have as new the Flex Radio SDR-1000 as new. It is the 100 watt version, and comes with a brand new Edirol FA-66 High Level 192kHz Sound Card. The unit works excellent and looks as new. I use it daily with the Pretty Betty software and it is the best, most fun radio I've ever used.
The only reason for selling is I have two of them and only need one. Sell for $875.
