Hello from eastern Tennessee and the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

I was first licensed in 1962. I retired after a career as an engineer. Current interests include QRQ CW and ocassional DX and contesting. Proud member of the FOC # 1898.

The station is an Elecraft K-Line (K3S, P3, KPA500). The XYL Amy (KT4E) is also an active CW operator and we share the station.  We work all bands 160 meters through 10 meters with one tower on a city lot. You will most often hear me on 80 and 40 meter CW in the early mornings. Amy KT4E routinely operates later in the day. We are both avid rag chew operators.

We acquired a new Flex 6700 SDR in May 2017. It is set up a second station and is being used for remote operating.

We operated 2 weeks as J38JR and J38AR from Grenada, West Indies in February 2009.

All QSLs to my home address or via bureau. I am not active on eQSL or LOTW. Hope to hear you on the air soon.
