NEW: D-Star ! Using the ICOM ID51Eplus running only 0,5 W and the Diamond X50 on the roof, I had some nice QSOs in US-Trust REF006C (via DB0DMB in Laboe). In addition I`m using the Hotspot "Babystar" by ON8JL (DB1LI B, QRV on 430.3875). Inside my car I`m now using the ICOM ID5100E.

I got my licence in 1982 at the age of 15 and started on VHF. I did some SSB aurora, tropo, E-sporadic, sat, meteorscatter and even a bit contesting but my antenna and power was too poor for successful working. There was no JT65 available hi (;-))). In 2007 I changed over to HF and studied CW (morse telegraphy). Still need some more QSO`s and practise.

My interests are IOTA (Islands On The Air), WWFF (World Flora Fauna) and portable operation. To complete my CW-WAE (Worked All Europe) I`m still looking for:

JW/B (Bear Island), JX (Jan Mayen), R1F (Franz Josef Land), SV/A (Mount Athos Monastery).

To contact them I don`t use contests or cluster informations. So it will take some time...

Due to the fact that my low hf power running to a 13 m dipole (8 m above ground) I like to say:

"THANK YOU FOR PICKING UP WEAK SIGNALS (:-)"

My equipment:

Receiver: SDR Receiver Fun Cube Dongle Pro+

Tuners: AT 502 (Automatic remote controlled and true balanced Pi tuner by hamware.de), Elecraft T1 tuner, MFJ 941E

Antenna: At home 13 m dipole, 8 m above ground ( 20 m asl ), fed with 450 ohm ladder line, Diamond X30 for 2 m and 70 cm, Portable: Dipoles, BuddyPole/Stick, MP1, Hustler System

Paddles: Schurr Profi 2, Kent double, palm radio mini paddle

Keyer: Winkey 2, Thiem Memo Keyer, palm radio code cube, MasterKeyer MK1 (in use)
