Welcome to the QRZ page of GB7VO - Herefordshire's first ever D-STAR repeater.
Located just 5 km south of the market town of Leominster, the repeater covers the area of the Welsh Marches between Ludlow to the north and the city of Hereford to the south.
This DV repeater automatically defaults to Reflector DCS-005M  which is enabled by keying D513 as a DTMF tone, DCS005M is also the default Reflector on GB7WF, Bewdley, GB7ZI Cannock, GB7DG Bromsgrove and GB7SO Solihull.
At present DCS005M usually has 5 repeaters and approximately 20 dongle users.
The repeater is established, operated and maintained by a partnership between the Hope Bagot Repeater Group (GB3VM and GB3VN) as well as the Hereford Amateur Radio Society (GB3ZA and GB3HC).
The repeater transmits on an output frequency of 439.700 MHz and receives on an input frequency of 430.700 MHz.
Previously the Icom units were used at GB7SY (Shrewsbury); this was Shropshire's first and only D-STAR repeater to date, so we are proud to bring it to Herefordshire to be re-used.
The antenna at GB7VO is a Procom CXL-70, 3dB colinear. The duplexer is a Procom DPF70.
We wish to thank the Wyre Forest Repeater Group for all their help with the internet linking using a Raspberry-Pi on GB7VO; and also Geoff, G8BPN for hosting the repeater at his factory site.
We look forward to hearing you on it soon.
Matt, G8XYJ Repeater Keeper for GB7VO
