Hello there and thank you for visiting my page.
I was licensed in April 2009 and I have a history in radio equipment from my time as a professional.
My home QTH nowadays is in Lysekil, a small town located some 100 km north of Gothenburg, on the tip of a peninsula in the very best part of the wonderful Swedish west coast archipelago. Consequently my main interest is yachting around here together with my wife and our Labrador retriever. I would say that being at sea and ham radio combines the best of two worlds.
Born in Gothenburg in November 1944 and was given first name Hans-Christian. I have two grownups on my side and two breathtakingly sweet granddaughters.
I use my Yaesu FT-897-D for HF QSO and an outdoor FC-40 auto tuner to a 29 meters (87 feet) long wire antenna suspended 15 meters over the ground level and some 50 meters over the sea level.
We have a local ham radio club here, the SK6IF, contesting with the call SK6L as well. Our club was established in 1972 and today we count 33 members. Many of us are quite busy on the bands and other pleasant club activities. In January 2012, I was elected as president of the SK6IF. I am in charge of the editorial and marketing departments and member of the board at the national Swedish Amateur Radio Society, the SSA.
You can find additional information about our club SK6IF on our home page and by clicking on English on the top.
SK6IF and I are looking forward to QSO with you on the bands.
