I have held an Amateur Radio Licence since 1987.
My QTH is located on the outskirts of the town of Echuca, (population 12,000) on the Murray River about 200km north of the city of Melbourne.
I am currently employed as a Forklift Driver at a local food processing factory, (SIMPLOT Australia) our products are distributed Australia wide.
I enjoy Outback travel into remote locations by 4wheel drive taking along my Kenwood TS-480 & Diamond SD 3-30 screwdriver antenna set up in my 80 series Landcruiser wagon. I also enjoy travelling on my KTM 640 Adventure trailbike and carry my FT-857 with longwire antenna for portable communications in the outback.
My home station equipment include Kenwood TS-990 & TL-922 Linear amp and TS-2000x.
Antennas include HY-Gain TH-7DXX 7EL triband yagi for 20m/15m/10m.
And 160m Inverted V Dipole for use on the lower HF bands.
Also 2x Diamond X-200 2m-70cm Verticals and a Pair of Phased 11 Element 2m Vericle Yagis & 13 element horizontal beam for 2m SSB, all on a 50ft Freestanding Tliltover Nally Tower.
My main radio intrests are, HF DX, D-Star, APRS, Portable operations as mentioned, Working 2m SSB, 6M DX and Echolink to name a few.
My many other Interests include: Fishing, Camping, Hunting & Shooting, Motor Bikes (Road & Dirt) and Sailing.
