Hi, name here is Ashley. QTH Rossendale Lancashire (UK).

I studied & passed my foundation at the "Rochdale & district amature radio society" under the tutladge of Phil, M0KPH & am currently studying for my intermediate.

My interest in radio comunications started in the mid to late'80's with the CB radio then following a long absence (Wives & things tend to get in the way of fun!!!,) I joined the "RADARS" in 2016, passed my foundation & here I am. To date,i have had very few contacts (I'm Surrounded by hills) I hope to have a suitable HF antenna in place in the very near future then I'll look forward to seeing you all somewere in the log

05 April 2017 passed the intermediate exam, Once again thanks to the tutladge of Phil M0KPH & have recently started experimenting with HF Antennas' I have erected aproximatly 22mtr "random" wire & although as yet have had no sucess on TX it has significantly improved my RX.

Thanks for reading this & perhaps in the future i will bore you again with an update

73's folks, catch further down the log... or not! I can but hope

15 Sept 2017, Installed a Diamond A1430S7 (2 & 70 Yagi) with assistance from my Dad 2E0RIT complete with a G-450C rotator on top of a 5MTR pole above the QTH (increased height by about 2 mtrs) Feed point on the "Random" increased by about 5 mtr at the same time. I can now receive HF & VHF is almost useable :)
