Stubby 75 meter mobile Long-term Iowa City resident and University of Iowa graduate, I worked actively for the George McGovern presidential campaign in the early 70s, and since have been active in progressive causes. I worked his way up to the position of Computer Programmer Analyst in the early 80s at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where I continued to work until retirement in 2002, after making somewhat of a name for myself in the workplace as the office poet and the writer useful subroutines and functions. In recent years I have worked at home as a web developer. A partial list of the webistes I have created and maintain can be found at www.franklinseiberling.com.

Head of the University of Iowa Department of Art and Art History during the 60s and 70s , my father, Frank A. Seiberling Jr., was a radio amateur in the early 1920's, his first call being 8AHF.

I use a Kenwood TS-50 / AT-50 combination to work 75, 20 and 10 meters using a Hustler vertical. The mobile antenna on the right is for 75 meters, and uses a Hustler RM-75 resonator. The length is quite a compromise, but it works well enough and I don't keep banging into everything I go under. The mobile rig is also a TS-50.
