73 DE DA0RM CREW

DA0RadioMuehlacker is a SPECIAL EVENT STATION to commemorate 75 years of radio operation from this site. For this event the station has the Special DOK 75RM.

The radio station SWR (Suedwestrundfunk) is still active on medium waves and ultra short waves. The short waves operation started in 1947 and ceased in October 2004 after 57 years.

The radio station in Muehlacker was one of the biggest stations in former times. After World War II the site also housed the medium wave station of the AFN (American Forces Network). Due to this radio station the name of Muehlacker was spread all around the world.

-----------------

DA0RM is active for about 1 week as often as possible from end of February 2005 from the site of the radio station on all amateur radio bands up to 70 cm in different modes shown in the table below. We use the two former shortwave antennas of the former station for the shortwave bands. The main antenna is 13 m high and 25 m long, the standby antenna is a vertical wire. Tranceivers will be the standard 100 Watts class for the shortwave bands.

DA0RM AND THE SPECIAL DOK 75RM ARE GRANTED FROM FEBRUARY 1ST, 2005 TO JANUARY 31ST, 2006.
