Hi @ all and thanks for looking at my page.

My name is Sascha and my journey to amateur radio was born from my hobby as a CBer back in the late 80's. After a long drawn break I found a Ham Radio Club near Hannover. After my examination in the summer of 2012 I had many QSOs all over the world. Ham Radio is my favorite hobby and I love the QSOs around the world as soon as the day broke. I am interested in HF propagation, Contest and Flora & Fauna activity. Other interests include Geocaching, making music and my Suzuki Jimny.

73 and hope to hear you on the air.

DL100OUI - W2WSC/100 and DL100OUI will operate on Dec 30, 2013to commerate 100 years of the high power VLF Goldschmidt wireless stations built in Tuckerton, NJ and Eilvese, Germany under construction in 1912-1913. Each of these virtually identical high-power stations were capable of sustained transatlantic communications at 7400 meters (approx. 18.4khz) using upto 200KW and 250 meter towers supporting double cone antennas. In 1914 these Goldschmidt alternators were the sole link betwen the U.S.A. and Germany allowing President Wilson and Kaiser Wilhelm II to exchange historic messages on January 27, 1914 and June 19, 1914. W2WSC/100 and DL100OUI will operate CW and SSB on 20, 40 and 80 meters. See the DX spots on Dec 30 for exact frequencies.

It has an area of about 12 square miles, making it the largest lake of northwestern Germany, but it is very shallow, with an average depth of only 1.35 metres (4.4 ft) and a maximum depth of less than 10 feet. It lies within a region known as the Hanoverian Moor Geest.
