ZS6TF is an amateur radio station located in "sunny" Bryanston, Gauteng, South Africa. Op Richard retired in March 2003 and has spent the intervening time developing his interests, interspersed with a bit of management consulting and journalism related to his pursuits. Being a self confessed francophile, classic and vintage car enthusiast, antique radio restorer, with an extensive home workshop, and a frequent wilderness traveller, it is hard not to have a busy day! These core interests overlap and spin off into a healthy proliferation of concerns for, and fascination with the environment, wildlife, animal behaviour, birds, climate change, eco-systems, alternative energy, appropriate technology, food, and wine to name but a few. Past president and now historian of the AWA (Antique Wireless association of Souther Africa) you are encouraged to visit http://awasa.org.za/ from which the AWA newsletters may be downloaded. I am also the licence holder for ZS6IEE, the amateur radio station of the SAIEE (South African Institute of Electrical Engineers) located within Innes house, Observatory, Johannesburg
