Started in Amateur Radio in early 1986 after completing all exams and CW test. This was after many years on CB radio (old AM days and SSB).
Our Scout Radio Station at our local campsite (home brew 2 ele multi band quad, + extended double zepp for 40m and various verticals for HF, 2m & 23cm). Plus some of the QSL cards I have used with the Scouts.
Was very active untill 2001 on all bands,DX chasing and 'rag chewing' from home QTH and 2003 from Scout campsite.
But alas with work commitments and family this all stopped in 2003, and then grandchildren came along - Tempus Fugit
I have had to wait till 2015, at a new QTH and now retired (Aug 2015) from my job in Telecommunications, I have finally got time to get back into radio again (for a few hours a week!!! at least)
MY EQUIPMENT -
My basic equipment at present is.........

Below - Going to see England's marvelous 3 0 Test win over Australia 2016.
Motorcycling - Cruising around Wales and the like, plus ongoing project to repair old 1994 Suzuki Bandit to make it road worthy.
Meta Alarm & immobiliser system causing a nightmare so re-wire loom to cut it out (18 black wires), Forks, carbs etc all needed working on.
Below - All completed (carbs re-jetted) and 100% running - time to pass to new owner......
And of course Real Ale...... at my local pub (above)
As with all Hobbies, you have to find time to do, so radio only gets a few hours a week if I'm lucky.
