Welcome to the QRZ.com Page of

I've been active on radio many years, After passing my RAE I was allocated the call G7OCE and was active on VHF & UHF only for a while until passing my morse exam and then was allocated my current A class call of G0VTU.

I ceased radio activity in 2001 and returned after 15 years in September 2015.

 I'm now active on 160m - 80m - 40m - 30m - 20m - 17m - 15m - 12m - 10m - 6m - 2m and 70cm, mainly voice and a bit of JT65 and RTTY

Also on DMR (usually monitoring reflector 4400) and D-Star(Usually monitring reflector 001C)

I'm just getting back into CW also..IF you do have a QSO with me in CW PLEASE QRS (at the moment 5 or 6 W.P.M as I'm very rusty at receiving having not done any at all since the 1990's

My Local repeaters on 2m and 70cm are GB3TH on 70cms and GB3TA on 2m.

I'm an avid DX hunter and always listening for that rare DX!

My current station consists of:

Main Station:

Icom IC-7600, microphone is either a Heil Pro-7 ic Headset, or a  Heil Proset Plus or a MXL990 via a W2IHY EQ Plus & the W2IHY 8 Band EQ.

Other radios:

A Kenwood TS850 SAT with DSP-100 (using only tweaked radio power of approx 140w

again the microphone is either a Kenwood MC-85 or a MXL990 via a W2IHY 8 Band EQ.

And an Icom IC706 mk2G (with LDG Z-100Plus auto tuner) with Astatic 575-M6 Microphone

SPE Expert 1K-FA (1kw) used at UK legal limit of 400w

12 Meter steel 2 section tilt over / crank up tower by MM0CUG

A 6 band G3TXQ Hexbeam made by my old mate Ant MW0JZE, and an 84' random wire in an inverted V configuration and a CG-3000 coupler for the lower bands

And A Diamond X-50 for 2m and 70cms

Spid RAU

For general QSO's I prefer LoTW QSL confirmation

as these go towards my DXCC count

but E-QSL confirmations do not unfortunately :(

If you wish to exchange a paper QSL card

Please e-mail me for my postal address

or QSL via the Buro

My new QSL card as of October 2015
