licensed since 1982 - now living in PLYMOUTH UK 

mainly into VHF /UHF  and of late DSTAR  as the interference /noise floor levels + antenna restrictions owing to small lot and DISABILITY preclude putting up effective HF antennas  - so if you looking me up - probably because of DSTAR

that having been said - I have worked some good dx on FM  (2m ) and am interested in seeing just what CAN be achieved as SSB is pretty dead these days and GIVEN the sales of HT equipment and fm radios generally - it seems LOGICAL to me that i am more likely to contact someone on the FM mode via propogation enhancement than otherwise

of course the "pundits " will dismiss this and say SSB is the way to go - BUT  did you know that the unofficial world record for FM is something over 2000 miles ?? - thats DX enough for me ........


any hoo - thanks for visiting - if you feel like trying on fm - i monitor 145.500 mhz - and watch the propagation sites for warnings of enhancements
