My interest in radio began when I was 15, seeing my father (I6XGG) fiddling with wires, antennas and electronic components used for DIY. So, secretly, I did some quick and prohibited DX on 20 meters with his Ten Tec Agonaut. (Very exciting with only 5 watts SSB and a small dipole). Since then I dreamed of becoming a legal HAM, so in 1983 I take the Amateur Radio License Exam getting my First Class Licence and IK6CRE callsign.
Now in my shack there is a Kenwood TS-590SG with MC-60A microphone and speaker SP-23. There are also an Elecraft KX2 and Tecsun PL-880 Portable.
This is my antenna, a vertical HF9V Butternut without radial, for which I use the whole roof copper.
I thank you for reading my bio and I wish you to be happy and do good DX.
