I was licensed in 1957 as W2SAN in Leesburg, NJ, and upgraded to Extra in 1968. While in the USAF for 20 years, I operated from many locations. The most memorable was as W2SAN/VO2 in Labrador. I changed my call in 1977 to K0PT while stationed in Denver, CO.

I enjoy operating the digital modes on all the HF bands. Much of my technical time is spent working on new antennas. The loop antenna is my favorite. My main antenna is a 40 meter delta loop with a remote tuner.  For 80 and 160 meters, I use an 80 foot vertical wire over a tall pine tree with a remote tuner.

You can also find me on six meters digital modes.

My club memberships include: ARRL, Coumbia Amateur Radio Club, 070 #1006, 30 MDG #1780, EPC #10285 and 10X #37909. I'm also a volunteer examiner for the ARRL VEC.

I am retired from the USAF, Lockheed Martin and the FAA. My other hobby is woodworking.
