Ham Member Lookups: 7428

When I was a kid, my grandparents had a 1970-something cadillac with a built in CB Radio. Man oh man! How I wanted to make a contact on that radio. It was not meant to be. But it gave me the bug!

Decades later, after spending most of my career in the communications industry, I finally took the time to get my ticket. In Sept. 2011 I got my general license. I almost waited a whole year before upgrading to Extra, but I fell in love with CW & DX, so I needed those extra few Hz's. hi hi

I pursue each contact with the same zeal as I did, way-back, when trying to get anybody to answer me on that CB Radio. Luckily, both my equipment and understanding of RF are somewhat better, so I'm having considerably more success!

Seems that I've always been a ham at heart. It just took me a while to get around to it, but I'm gettin' busy on HF now. Mostly CW on 40- 20m as I have constraints on antenna configuration. But I'm doing OK. Hope to hear from you on the bands! 73
