Hello and thank you for visiting my QRZ page.
I was hooked on radio in 1967 at age 12 when my father gave me a Radio Shack Science Fair Globe Patrol regenerative shortwave kit. I could hear the world. It was like magic.
I got my Novice license KA4ZDS in 1982. My station was a Radio Shack Realistic DX-150 receiver and Heathkit DX-60B transmitter. I soon upgraded to a Kenwood TS-830S. For three years I worked CW. Then, kids and career took over my life and the radio was put on the shelf until 2015.
Funny how this radio thing is still in my blood after all this time.
It's good to be back in the shack. I hope to see you on the air. 73.
My station today:
Yausu FTDX-1200, Icom IC-7100, Yaesu FT-857D, Kenwood TS-830S, Heathkit DX-60B
Inverted L up 25 feet, fan dipole in the attic up 25 feet, MFJ 1788 magnetic loop up 6 feet
MFJ-962D antenna tuner, Astron RS-35A power supply, PC running Windows 7
