That's me after going up in the Yankee Air Force B-17 "Yankee Lady" at the Willow Run airport in SE Michigan. The plane has the old BC348 receiver and a J-38 key screwed to the radio operators table on the Port side midway aboard the plane. A very exciting ride, try it if you ever get the chance.

Must have been cold in those skies over WWII Europe? The key pictured happens to be a J-37.

The good old BC348

I use a Sigma 5 DX antenna. 10-12-15-17-20 meter 9ft vertical - switchable bands from inside the shack. Works great !
