Hello Everyone, and thanks for visiting my bio.   I've been licensed since 1956 and have always enjoyed chasing DX, Field Day and the Digital Modes.

I've been inactive for the last 10 years and am now in a location where I can use a tower and beam. The antennas are an end-fed, all band long wire and and an inverted V for 40 and 80 meters.  The tower now has a KLM-34XA and I recently upgraded the station to include an FTdx9000 contest with 2 receivers and the DMU module. ( still trying to find out how to operate it.....did find the ON  switch this week)  Also, an FT-991 is set up for the digital modes and for use on Field Day.   Just put up a Gap Challenger to give me some more capability on the lower bands.  Just received my mixed WAS, DXCC, and WAC certificates and looking forward to inproving my code speed and working toward some of the CW awards.

Other activities have been: Viet Nam veteran,  Commercial pilot and flight instructor and  FEMA volunteer.   Other hobbies  include, hunting, fishing, boating, trap shooting and RC airplanes,

Member of  the American Legion, Elks Club, Tri-State Amateur Radio Club, 10 X 10, OMISS and Evansville Radio Control Model Airplane Club..

I QSL 100% either via eQSL, LoTA, QRZ, Bureau and Direct (No SASE Needed)

I'm retired and living in Evansville, IN with my wife, Rita and our dog, Rags.   Hope to get very active again this year.   73,  Rick, K9EXY
