My new Horizontal Waller Flag receiving antenna for Low Bands is finally up at the 150 foot level on my tower. Check out the 8 minute YouTube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXvRrummVFY Yes that is me up in the "ManCage" along with one of the Don Fruchey Crane company crew. All Video is by Dino Raptis KR9V The GoPro camera was on my head and Dino flying the Quad Copter.  Lots of fun putting up antennas this way!!

I have been a "Ham" since november 1959 and a DX'er/Contester since 1975. After spending a couple of years as HL9KW while in Uncle Sams 8th US Army Band Seoul Korea. Now I am an avid 160 meter Contester/ DX'er. Other hobbies..Well it started with just one small table top wooden radio A "1939 Truetone" one like this was my first "Ham Receiver" back in '59..Then the wife (N9PXF) fell in love with Wood Cabinet radios...she never did like the Metal Boxes aka "Communications Receivers" and today we have a collection of over 400 Antique Radios. Stop by our Web Page and take a look at some of them at http://www.JohnJeanAntiqueRadio.com We also love traveling/DX-Peditioning and hope to do a lot more of it in a the next few years! See you in the Pileups on 160 meters!!

We finally moved into the more modern world of Ham Radios with an Elecraft K3 Radio a year ago. So now when you hear us on 160 the Radio is at home QTH but we might be ??? Most anyplace ... Yes remotely operating it most likely from some nice warm spot in Sunny Warm Florida during the winter months.
