This is a bio for KA6Tux

I retired from the San Pablo Police Department after 28 years of service with 15 years in charge of the Detective Division. I got into Amateur radio because I wanted to have communications in my personal car. My son Rob (KA6UJL) and I studied for our Amateur License together. We got them 2 years prior to my retirment in December 1984. Since then I have upgraded to Advanced, my wife, Juanita (KC6KAR), my brother Tom (KB6FIT) and his wife Anne (KB6FON) have all gotten their licenses.

I am a past president of the Contra Costa Communications Club (4C's) a repeater group which owns three repeaters, 224.300, 145.110 and 444.275 they all have a P.L. of 82.5. I am also a past president of the Western Country Cousins which meets nightly on 3.970 KHZ at 9:00 P>M> PST. I am currently the net control for the W.C.C. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.

Since retiring I have worked as a roofer, diesel truck driver and mechanic, delivered motor homes, and now have my own business of Pilot Car for oversize loads on our highways. My hobbies other than Amateur Radio are camping and traveling. I realy enjoy good old fashion Gospel Quartet music. I am a Board Member of Central Assembly of God, El Sobrante, Ca.
