Ham Member Lookups: 1082

Hello from south central Nebraska.  Although a native of the high desert plains of Colorado, my family has migrated to the Cornhusker state.  I had a long time interest in Ham Radio, but did not get my tech license til 2009.  I qualified for my Extra in 2014, made my first HF contacts during field day, and joined a great club Pueblo West Amateur Radio Club.  I enjoy working equipment not much younger than I am and love my Yeasu FT-101E that was given to me by a club member after Field Day 2014. I am active in ARES, MARS, and SHARES.  I believe amatuer radio is vital resource in times of emergency.

I am currently a member of the Heartland Amatuer Radio Association http://www.qsl.net/hara/ which meets at the Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles https://www.heartlandmuseum.com.  The museum is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.  My main radio is an Icom IC-718.  I currently run barefoot with a wire antenna.
